Hypnosis is an interesting subject to me. You see, when I was a little boy I remember a little book titled "Self Hypnosis" in my father's library. From then on I had always been intrigued with the subject. However, life seemed to get in the way and distract me, and my study of hypnosis was delayed. Today as an adult I have made the time to research this as best I can. Many books and audios as well as videos later I have arrived at one very loud thought. WHY DID I WAIT! Hypnosis, suddenly, has become an all consuming obsession of mine. It is amazing.

You see, Hypnosis, or rather Hypnotic States are an every day occurrence. Have you ever been so deeply into a book your reading, or a TV show you were watching and have lost track of time? Maybe someone was trying to talk to you and you did not hear them, or perhaps you didn't hear the timer go off for your dinner while you were so engrossed. Either way most everyone has had a hypnotic experience, naturally and safely. Or perhaps, you remember a time when you have arrived home from your after work commute without memory of driving home. These are all examples of hypnotic states.

States of hypnosis can be used by certified Hypno-Therapists as well as those who use Self Hypnosis, to create change. Behaviors that are unwanted or skills and talents that you wish to be enhanced can be affected by hypnosis. At the same time, you have this thing called the Observer Self that protects you from doing things that you would never do or are dangerous.

Hypnosis today is also being used to help people be more convincing with conversation techniques. The use of indirect induction, as opposed to the classical direct induction methods, is perfect for being persuasive.
